Kier are a leading provider of infrastructure services and construction, sustainably delivering works that are vital to communities throughout the UK. They also work in property development, focusing on regeneration.
Made up of four main business divisions, Kier works in Construction, Transportation, Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks, and Property. At the core of each of these, Kier is committed to incorporating the most current methods, innovations and technology in a sustainable manner.
The Challenge
Kier required a supplier who could consolidate their supply chain by being able to meet all their Stationery needs, as well as provide Cleaning & Hygiene supplies. It was vital that the supplier possessed the technical capabilities, warehouse and logistics to be able to respond to the tender and deliver on a next-day basis. With many delivery sites and projects across the UK at any one time, this was a challenging timescale that was vital to their operations. In addition to this, Kier had key requirements for EDI Integration and Online Cyber Security.
Kier’s main objective was to source a consolidated service that could provide the necessary operational flexibility required, whilst also offering a more sustainable solution to help them achieve their ESG goals.
The Solution
Banner was able to offer a complete solution. Prior to implementation, full customer engagement across multiple departments enabled our teams to collectively develop a strategic approach to onboard multiple Kier site accounts nationwide with a dedicated Customer Service offering.
A large portion of the tender is in Cleaning & Hygiene, offering everything from mops and buckets to full cleaning solutions. Alongside this, we were also able to provide Office Supplies to meet all Kier’s stationery requirements.
Through product and invoice consolidation, Banner was able to achieve a reduction in paperwork and provide Kier with considerable cost savings. This also meant that we were able to accommodate a more sustainable route to market.
In addition, Banner offers online portal benefits that include a 24/7 customer service and delivery portal for tracking orders and accessing delivery information, allowing customers to access vital information at their own convenience. With this user-friendly platform, Banner is able to ensure a seamless and efficient customer experience.
